"I would like to take this opportunity to write a letter of reference for Sure Lawn and the owner Ben Kohler.
Ben came to us through a neighbor. My husband and I purchased a foreclosure home on 2 acres in Woodinville in February and to say the yard was untended and overgrown is an understatement. The yard has clearly not been maintained for years by the previous owner, and then sat empty for several months. Ben came in and brought the property back to life. Having worked on the property several owners ago, he remembered all the plant species and recommended (and implemented) several reconfiguration options for us for the betterment of the plants and the overall look and feel of the property. He replanted, transplanted, unweeded, hacked, chopped, cut, pulled, sawed, watered, mulched and tilled, eventually taming our property into a showpiece.
His enthusiasm and respect for the natural environment is extensive and admirable. Ben is a rare breed in this day and age: he listens to his customers and takes pride in his work. He is joy with which to work, shows up when he says he will and finishes the job to the customers satisfaction. Ben is the type of guy that knows my daughters name, and points out any potential hazards to her in the natural environment of which might not have been aware (we are new to the area). Having worked with several contractors and subs during the foreclosure remodel process, I can say Ben has been the best of the best. The added bonus was that his pricing was very fair and I never felt taken the way I did with some other contractors.
I would not hesitate to recommend Ben."

Over the past couple of years we'd been using one of those lethargic nationally "franchised" lawn care services that drops off a sign saying they had "been there" -- which was otherwise unnoticeable -- followed by a costly bill.
